istant with John Langmead, Architect in Surry Hills in 1980 preparing architectural documents for clubs, theatres, shops, ambulance stations and residential dwellings. He was employed by McConnel Smith and Johnson Pty Limited for five years working predominantly on hospital developments and then worked for John Royle & Associates for five years in the construction of dwellings before establishing his own private practice as an architect on the South Coast of NSW in 1993.


Gary has completed a post-graduate diploma in Construction Law from Melbourne University and has a Certificate in Professional Arbitration from Adelaide University. In recent years, he has specialised in designing for people with a disability and has completed a Cert iv in Access Consulting through the Institute of Access Training Australia.


He was enticed towards photography while studying Chinese Traditional Architecture at Tsinghua University in Beijing in 1984 and he enjoys travelling.
